dsn: "mentally drained right now"
Despite a loss in the final game against H2k Gaming, fnatic tops the IOL FINAL4 Season 2 group-stage and will Sunday play the final.
We got a hold of Harley "dsn" Örwall after the last game, to hear him about the group-stage. When asked about topping the group and comparing the matches with the WCG qualifier, Örwall said following.
"I think the venue here, the expo area we are sitting in, is very noisy as you during the day can't hear a thing with all these crazy competitions. We have a Guitar Hero booth just next to us, so it was obviously very hard to hear in-game and your team-mates at times. The WCG qualifier was played in a much quieter area, that benefited us a bit, but we did okay today, though I don’t think we played that well in the IOL group-stage, but still its six maps played today and you honestly don’t have the energy.
I'm pretty happy with topping the group, top in the group is top in the group and we have a final tomorrow that will be the big game."
fnatic played a lot of matches today, a factor that could hurt the Swedes tomorrow, but not according to Örwall.
"I think it's fine. We played a lot today, a bit mentally drained right now, but I think it will be fine tomorrow. It was also a good warm up, so hopefully we will come in great shape tomorrow, we better be, else we played six maps for no reason."
When quizzed about the expectations for the DreamHack Summer group-stage, he responded.
"I think we should win the group pretty convincingly, simply because they are not top teams obviously. Anything can definitely happen, it's Counter-Strike after all, but I'm looking forward to be top in the group and meet some better teams in the playoffs."
Örwall and fnatic will face Gamingplace at 09:00CET, which will be their first of three group-stage matches.
